Job Description
Indrotec is currently interviewing Production Supervisors for a local manufacturing company in Arden Hills. As a Production Supervisor, you would be responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned production operations while striving to maintain production goals. Provides leadership to employees within assigned work area, working to achieve productivity, quality, and safety goals. 

 

Qualified candidates will have the following skills and abilities
  •  Ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are met through coaching, standardized work, smooth and safe running of work cells and producing quality parts.
  • Work alongside production operation teams to drive KPI's and performance goals set out for the department.
  • Create standard work practices for all operations to balance the workload and available capacity in collaboration with planning and logistics teams.
  • Responsible for interviewing and selecting candidates to ensure appropriate staffing levels and skills are maintained.
  • Facilitate training and cross training, including identifying needs for training, designating the trainer, and working through frequent training assessments.Work with manufacturing process technicians, manufacturing engineers, quality teams and HR to resolve nonconformance issues.
  • Maintiain high standards for personal, team and company goals.
  • Provide accurate production status updates to Operations Management, Engineering, and floor production teams at the Tier meetings.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, supply chain, quality, and other departments to minimize production interruptions.
  • Identify process and equipment problems to determine root cause(s), escalate any equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize production execution disruptions and influence implementation of appropriate corrective action(s) utilizing cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor labor and identify overtime needs for production schedules. 
  • Collaborate  using Lean Manufacturing Methodologies.
  • Facilitate completion of tasks & projects assigned to Manufacturing Process Technicians and Team Leads.
Requirements
  •  Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Supervisory experience in manufacturing environment or Associate Degree with 5+ years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills are necessary, with previous supervisory experience highly preferred. 
  • Experience with applying lean manufacturing principles, efficiency methods.
  • Experience solving manufacturing problems related to incapable processes and or designs. 
  • Previous experience working in a clean room environment is helpful. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Ability to create documents, spreadsheets, and power point presentations. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Creo, Oracle, SharePoint. 

 

Schedule

1st shift: Monday - Friday 5:30am - 2pm

2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am
