Production Supervisor

A small, but growing company in the Northeast Minneapolis, MN area is looking for a Production Supervisor.

This full-time role that is vital to supporting the company’s profitable growth. Owns responsibility for improving the company’s manufacturing effectiveness, safety, quality and cost. Looking for a strong team player who thrives on new challenges and has strong problem solving and mechanical skills. We build products that combine electronics and power distribution, and in a typical day the production team will test circuit boards, manage automated calibration and configuration equipment, and assemble and test power distribution products.


  • Works with the business team to prioritize daily production activities to meet product delivery commitments.
  • Trains, coaches and supervises a five-person production team.
  • Sets meaningful quality goals and drives improvements in production processes and product design as needed to achieve consistently high levels of quality and ensure product certification and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Directs general warehouse operations and serves as the subject matter expert on the use of our ERP system to support receiving, production and shipping.
  • Participates in the development of new product capabilities by providing input on design for manufacture considerations and overall product functionality.
  • Specifies and creates key product components such as wiring harnesses, enclosures and mounting assemblies as well as production fixtures and other items as needed to improve overall effectiveness.
  • Oversees the improvement of key manufacturing, quality and certification compliance processes. Furthers the company?s continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts.
  • Oversees inventory control and is responsible for maintaining an accurate physical inventory.
  • Manages product returns, including problem determination, remediation, and resolution.
  • Leads the company?s Safety Committee and ensures production employees understand and comply with safety requirements.
  • Oversees operation and maintenance of production systems and tools.
  • When required due to demand, illness, staffing shortfalls, expertise, etc., performs all assembly functions from component prep to finished product assembly.


  • Knowledge of electrical concepts and electrical product and wire harness manufacturing best practices
  • Experience in assembling, testing and diagnosing electrical devices. Fine soldering skills.
  • Comfortable with using a range of computer systems, such as basic office tools and, in particular, ERP/MRP applications
  • Working knowledge of UL certification practices and norms, including 508A
  • Working knowledge of quality management concepts and techniques
  • Organized, detail-oriented, strong communicator, stays calm in a crisis
  • Strong team leader with management experience and high personal integrity


  • Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • The company is willing to be flexible with the schedule
