Job Description

Medtronic is looking for candidates to contribute to the production of life-saving devices used to filter, heat, and oxygenate blood during surgery. This position is in a full clean room setting. Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in basic math, reading and understanding English, speaking and writing English


  • Minimum Years Experience: None

    Preferred Years Experience:
  • Medical device assembly with small piece parts assembly experience


  • Position Description:
  • Perform production processes per written procedures; meeting expected quality levels and production rates.

    Position Responsibilities/Authority:
  • Follows work direction of area leads in performing a variety of production operations and complies to written procedures in the production of MPS products.
  • Rotate on multiple production operations as directed.
  • Complies with company policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements of OSHA, GMP and ISO.
  • Maintain accurate Device history Records and material inventories for the area.
  • Inform area leads of any problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials.
  • May handle hazardous/non-hazardous waste by properly placing identified hazardous and non-hazardous wastes created by job tasks into supplied satellite collection containers and/or moving satellite collection containers to designated storage area.


  • Basic Qualifications:
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes, process changes, and changes in hours.
  • Must be able to work in varied operation work environments.
  • Must be willing to work as a team member, communicate positively and constructively, resolving problems productively


  • Desired/Preferred Qualifications: ? Familiarity with personal computers.

    Physical Job Requirements:
  • Good manual dexterity; ability to perform multiple repetitive operations and rotate every 1 ? 4 hours depending on assigned production line/area
  • Able to stand at work station up to 10 hours/day
  • May require lifting/carrying 5 ? 8 lbs. up to 8 hours/day, 8 ? 20 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. 4 times/week
  • May require pushing 20 lbs. 6 ? 8 times/day, pulling 30 lbs. 6 ? 8 times/day
  • May require bending/stooping/kneeling 2 ? 3 hours/day
  • May require reaching up to 8 hours/day
  • May require using step stool/climbing up to 8 hours/day
  • May require using microscope to perform fine close up work up to 8 hours/day
  • Must be able to work with chemicals and solvents with no known chemical allergies
  • Vision correctable to 20/20 under normal lighting
  • Able to wear cleanroom attire ? gown, gloves, safety glasses

Requirements

  • Assemblers will need excellent mechanical dexterity, combined with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Be able to work on your feet for 8+ hours a day.
  • Pass all required assessments
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Complete a drug test and a criminal background check

  • Able to stand at work station up to 10 hours/day
  • May require lifting/carrying 5 – 8 lbs. up to 8 hours/day, 8 – 20 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. 4 times/week

  • May require reaching up to 8 hours/day
